Ship tracks
We locate our research vessel, Gato Verde, in near-real-time using a satellite transceiver called a SPOT personal tracker. It relays our position every 5-10 minutes, as well as our general condition (with or without whales). This map shows our latest positions (last 7 days) and the links below lead to historical ship tracks.

Real-time sensors around the region can sometimes tell you about conditions near the Beam Reach boat, or even capture a web-cam image of the research vessel.
