Pondering initial questions

The first day of a Beam Reach program usually begins with a chance to ponder and write down a list of initial curiosities and preliminary questions. By taking some deep breaths while immersed in the local environment, you can begin to discern what is important and what is interesting to you. The crux is turning curiosity into scientific questions (ones that can be answered through observation, experiment, or modeling -- or perhaps ideally all three).
